To use, simply add the contents of the packet to your chili pot during the cooking process. It can be incorporated when browning your meat or added with your liquid base. The heat from the cooking will help to bloom the spices, releasing their full aroma and flavor. You can adjust the amount used based on your preference for spice intensity and the size of your batch. It is designed to be a convenient way to achieve a well-rounded chili flavor without measuring individual spices.
How it differs from similar foods
Unlike generic chili powders, this seasonal mix is specifically formulated for Texas-style chili. It often includes a more complex array of chili peppers and complementary spices that provide a deeper, more nuanced flavor profile.
