Lawry's Sriracha Wings Seasoning Mix
What it is
This is a dry seasoning blend designed to impart the bold, spicy, and slightly sweet flavor of sriracha onto chicken wings. It contains a mix of spices and flavorings that create a savory and zesty profile. The blend is formulated to adhere well to the surface of the wings, providing a flavorful coating without the need for a wet sauce. It offers a convenient way to achieve a popular flavor profile for appetizers and snacks.
How people cook with it
This seasoning is perfect for adding a kick to your favorite chicken wing recipes. It can also be used to season other poultry or even vegetables.
- Coating chicken wings
- Seasoning roasted chicken
- Adding spice to popcorn
- Flavoring grilled vegetables
To use, simply toss your prepared chicken wings with the seasoning mix until they are evenly coated. For best results, apply the seasoning just before cooking. You can bake, fry, or grill the wings after seasoning. The dry mix helps create a slightly crispy exterior as the wings cook. Adjust the amount of seasoning to your preference for heat and flavor intensity. It's a straightforward way to elevate simple chicken wings into a flavorful appetizer.
How it differs from similar foods
Unlike liquid sriracha sauces, this dry mix offers a less messy application and can create a different texture on the wings. It provides a concentrated flavor without adding extra moisture, which can sometimes make fried or baked wings less crisp. The blend is specifically formulated for wings, ensuring good adherence and balanced spice.
Who it is for
Home cooks looking for a quick and easy way to add a popular spicy flavor to their appetizers will appreciate this seasoning.
How to keep the rest
Store the remaining seasoning mix in its original container in a cool, dry place. Ensure the lid is tightly sealed to maintain freshness and prevent clumping. Proper storage will help preserve the flavor and aroma of the spices for future use.
