Sconza Jordanettes Almonds Candy
What it is
These are whole roasted almonds coated in a crisp, sweet candy shell. The candy coating is typically thin and smooth, providing a satisfying crunch with each bite. The almonds themselves are plump and offer a rich, nutty flavor that complements the sweetness of the shell. This confection offers a delightful combination of textures and tastes, making it a popular treat for many occasions. They are a classic indulgence.
How people cook with it
These candy-coated almonds are a versatile treat. They can be enjoyed on their own or incorporated into various desserts.
- Snack on them directly from the bag.
- Decorate cakes and cupcakes.
- Add to trail mix.
- Use as a topping for ice cream.
Enjoy these Jordanettes as a straightforward snack, perfect for satisfying a sweet craving. For a more decorative touch, they can be scattered over frosted cakes, cupcakes, or cookies, adding both visual appeal and a delightful crunch. They also make a wonderful addition to homemade trail mixes, providing a sweet and nutty element alongside other ingredients. When serving ice cream or other desserts, a sprinkle of these candy-coated almonds can elevate the presentation and flavor profile, offering a pleasing contrast in textures.
How it differs from similar foods
Compared to plain roasted almonds, these Jordanettes offer a distinct sweet crunch from the candy shell. The shell is designed to be smooth and brittle, not chewy like caramel or soft like chocolate. This creates a different sensory experience, focusing on the crispness of the coating and the solid almond within.
Who it is for

How to keep the rest
To maintain their crispness, store any remaining Jordanettes in a cool, dry place. Ensure the original packaging is sealed tightly or transferred to an airtight container. Avoid exposure to moisture or extreme temperatures, which can cause the candy shell to become sticky or melt.
