Earthbound Farm Organic Romain + Butter Crunch Salad Mix
What it is
This is a pre-washed salad mix featuring crisp romaine lettuce and tender butter lettuce. It combines the satisfying crunch of romaine with the delicate, melt-in-your-mouth texture of butter lettuce. The leaves are typically a vibrant green, offering a fresh and appealing base for a variety of salads. It is ready to eat straight from the bag.
How people cook with it
This salad mix is a convenient base for quick meals and side dishes.
- Quick lunch salads
- Side dish for dinner
- Toppings for sandwiches
- Wraps and rolls
Open the bag and pour the desired amount of salad mix into a bowl. It is also excellent as a fresh topping for burgers, sandwiches, and wraps. For a simple side, toss with a light vinaigrette and serve alongside your main course. The pre-washed nature means no extra preparation is needed.
How it differs from similar foods
Unlike whole heads of lettuce, this mix offers a convenient blend of two popular varieties. The romaine provides a sturdy crunch, while the butter lettuce adds a softer, more delicate mouthfeel. This combination creates a more complex texture than a single type of lettuce.
Who it is for
