What it is
This is a powdered beverage mix designed to create a refreshing lemon-flavored iced tea. It is formulated to be caffeine-free, making it a suitable option for those who prefer to avoid stimulants or are sensitive to them. The mix typically contains sweeteners, citric acid for tartness, and natural or artificial lemon flavoring, along with tea solids to impart the characteristic tea taste. It is intended for easy preparation at home, allowing consumers to quickly make a batch of iced tea without brewing tea leaves.
How people cook with it
This mix is a convenient way to prepare a cold, lemon-flavored tea beverage. It is ideal for serving at gatherings or for a quick refreshment.
- Refreshing cold drink

- Lemonade alternative
To prepare, simply combine the powdered mix with cold water in a pitcher. Stir thoroughly until the powder is completely dissolved. The amount of water needed will be indicated on the packaging, typically allowing for a standard pitcher size. For best results, ensure the water is cold and stir until no sediment remains at the bottom. You can adjust the strength by adding a little more or less water, depending on your preference for flavor intensity. Serve over ice for a truly refreshing experience.
How it differs from similar foods
Unlike brewed iced tea, this mix offers instant preparation without the need for steeping tea bags or loose leaves. Its caffeine-free nature also distinguishes it from many traditional iced tea products, making it accessible to a wider range of consumers seeking a non-caffeinated beverage option.

How to keep the rest
After opening, store the remaining powder in its original container or an airtight canister in a cool, dry place. Ensure the lid is tightly sealed to prevent moisture absorption, which can cause clumping and affect the flavor. Proper storage will help maintain the quality and taste of the mix for future use.
