Nielsen-Massey Pure Coffee Extract
What it is
This is a concentrated liquid flavoring made from high-quality coffee beans. It captures the intense aroma and deep flavor of freshly brewed coffee in a convenient, shelf-stable form. The extract is carefully crafted to provide a robust coffee taste without any bitterness. It is a versatile ingredient for adding a coffee note to a wide range of sweet and savory dishes. The liquid form allows for easy measurement and integration into various recipes.
How people cook with it
Coffee extract is a secret weapon for bakers and cooks looking to enhance flavor. It adds depth and complexity to both sweet and savory creations.
- Enhancing chocolate desserts
- Adding depth to baked goods
- Boosting savory sauces
- Creating coffee-flavored beverages
A little goes a long way with pure coffee extract. It can be added directly to batters, doughs, frostings, and sauces. For beverages, a few drops can intensify the coffee flavor without altering the liquid balance. It is excellent in cakes, cookies, brownies, and tiramisu. In savory applications, it can complement the richness of beef stews, marinades, or barbecue sauces. Start with a small amount and taste, adding more as needed to achieve the desired coffee intensity.
How it differs from similar foods
Unlike instant coffee granules or brewed coffee, this extract provides a pure, concentrated coffee flavor without added water or solids. This means it won't affect the texture or moisture content of your recipes. It offers a more consistent and potent coffee taste than using coffee beans directly.
Who it is for
Home bakers and professional chefs use this extract to elevate their culinary creations.
How to keep the rest
Store the bottle in a cool, dark place, such as a pantry or cupboard, away from direct sunlight and heat. Ensure the cap is tightly sealed after each use to preserve its potency and prevent evaporation. Properly stored, it will maintain its flavor quality for an extended period.
