To prepare, simply heat your preferred cooking oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the Farmer Jon’s Butter Popcorn Kernels, ensuring they are in a single layer. Cover the pot with a lid, leaving it slightly ajar to allow steam to escape. Shake the pot gently as the kernels begin to pop. Continue shaking until the popping slows to several seconds between pops. Remove from heat and pour into a bowl. You can add extra butter or seasonings if desired, though these kernels are already flavored.
How it differs from similar foods
Unlike plain popcorn kernels, these are pre-seasoned with butter and salt, saving you the step of adding them separately. This provides a consistent buttery flavor throughout the batch. Regular kernels offer a blank canvas for various toppings, while these are designed for immediate enjoyment of a classic buttered popcorn experience.

How to keep the rest
Store any unused Farmer Jon’s Butter Popcorn Kernels in a cool, dry place in an airtight container. This will help maintain their freshness and prevent them from becoming stale. Avoid storing them near heat sources or in humid environments, as this can affect the quality of the kernels and their coating.
