Simple Truth Organic
Simple Truth Organic Orange Vanilla Extract
What it is
This is a flavoring extract made with organic ingredients. It combines the bright, citrusy notes of orange with the warm, sweet aroma of vanilla. The extract is designed to impart both flavors into your cooking and baking. It is a liquid concentrate, meaning a small amount can go a long way in enhancing the taste of your dishes. The organic certification indicates that the ingredients used are grown and processed according to organic standards.
How people cook with it
This extract is a versatile ingredient for adding complex flavor to a variety of sweet and savory creations. It can elevate baked goods, beverages, and even some main dishes.
- Flavoring cakes and cookies
- Enhancing custards and puddings
- Adding depth to fruit sauces
- Aromatic addition to beverages
To use, simply add a small amount of the extract to your batter, dough, or liquid base. Start with a quarter teaspoon for smaller recipes and adjust to your preference. It blends well into creamy mixtures, batters, and syrups. For beverages like milk or cocktails, a few drops can provide a subtle yet distinct aroma and taste. It is best to incorporate it during the mixing stage to ensure even distribution throughout the food or drink. Avoid direct heat for extended periods, as this can diminish the volatile aromatic compounds.
How it differs from similar foods
Unlike separate vanilla and orange extracts, this product offers a pre-blended, harmonious fusion of both flavors. This saves a step in recipes and ensures a balanced taste profile that might be difficult to achieve by combining individual extracts. The organic nature also sets it apart from conventional flavorings.
Who it is for
Home bakers and cooks who appreciate nuanced flavor profiles and organic ingredients will find this extract useful.
How to keep the rest
Keep the bottle tightly sealed in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and heat. This helps preserve the potency and aroma of the extract. Ensure the cap is securely fastened after each use to prevent evaporation and contamination. Proper storage will maintain its quality for an extended period.
