Pepperidge Farm Herb Seasoned Classic Stuffing
What it is
This is a dried bread cube product seasoned with a blend of herbs. It is designed to be rehydrated with broth and other ingredients to create a traditional side dish. The bread cubes are pre-toasted, providing a base texture that absorbs moisture well during cooking. The herb blend offers a savory aroma and flavor profile commonly associated with holiday meals and comforting dinners. It comes in a convenient package for easy preparation.
How people cook with it
This product is a versatile base for creating a flavorful stuffing. It is often prepared as a side dish for roasted meats and poultry.
- As a side dish for holiday meals
- To stuff poultry before roasting
- As a topping for casseroles
- Mixed into meatballs for added texture
To prepare, the dried bread cubes are typically combined with melted butter or oil in a skillet and lightly toasted. Then, a liquid such as chicken or vegetable broth is added, along with any desired additions like chopped onions, celery, or herbs. The mixture is stirred until the bread cubes are moistened. It can then be baked in a dish until heated through and slightly crisped on top, or it can be used to stuff the cavity of a turkey or chicken during roasting, allowing the flavors to meld with the main course.
How it differs from similar foods
Unlike homemade stuffing that requires toasting bread cubes from scratch, this product offers pre-toasted, seasoned bread cubes. This saves time and ensures a consistent base flavor. The pre-mixed herb blend provides a balanced seasoning that may differ from individual preferences when making stuffing from raw ingredients.
Who it is for

How to keep the rest
After opening, store any unused portion in a tightly sealed container or its original packaging in a cool, dry place. This helps to maintain the crispness of the bread cubes and prevent them from absorbing moisture or unwanted odors from the pantry.
