Giant Eagle Grated Parmesan Cheese with Italian Herbs
What it is
This is a convenient package of finely grated Parmesan cheese that has been blended with a mix of classic Italian herbs. The cheese itself is a hard, granular variety known for its sharp, nutty flavor. The added herbs contribute aromatic notes of oregano, basil, and other common Italian seasonings, creating a ready-to-use flavor enhancer for a variety of dishes. It comes in a resealable container for easy storage and dispensing.
How people cook with it
This seasoned Parmesan is perfect for adding a burst of flavor and a touch of Italian flair to everyday meals. It's designed for quick and easy application.
- Sprinkled over pasta dishes
- Added to garlic bread
- Mixed into salad dressings
- Topping for roasted vegetables
Simply open the container and sprinkle the grated cheese directly onto your food. It can be used as a finishing touch after cooking or incorporated into recipes during the cooking process. For dishes like pasta, a generous dusting adds immediate flavor. When making garlic bread, mix it with butter and garlic before spreading on the bread. It also melts well when baked, making it suitable for gratins or casseroles. Its pre-mixed herbs mean you don't need to add separate seasonings for a classic Italian taste profile.
How it differs from similar foods
Unlike plain grated Parmesan, this version includes a blend of Italian herbs, offering a more complex flavor profile in a single product. This saves the step of adding individual herbs, making it a time-saver for busy cooks seeking authentic Italian tastes.
