This product consists of boneless, skinless chicken thigh meat that has been frozen for preservation. Chicken thighs are known for their darker meat and richer flavor compared to chicken breast. The absence of bones and skin makes them convenient for cooking and eating.
These versatile chicken thighs can be incorporated into a wide range of dishes, from quick weeknight dinners to more elaborate weekend meals.
To use, thaw the chicken thighs completely before cooking. This can be done by transferring them from the freezer to the refrigerator for several hours or overnight. For faster thawing, you can place the sealed package in a bowl of cold water. Once thawed, the chicken can be cut into pieces or cooked whole. It cooks relatively quickly and absorbs marinades well, making it suitable for grilling, baking, pan-frying, or braising. Ensure the chicken is cooked thoroughly to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for safety.
Boneless, skinless chicken thighs are generally more tender and moist than chicken breasts due to their higher fat content. This makes them more forgiving when cooking, as they are less likely to dry out. Their richer flavor also stands up well to strong seasonings and sauces.
After thawing, store any unused portion in an airtight container in the refrigerator and use within 1-2 days. If the product is still frozen, keep it in the freezer until ready to use. Avoid refreezing chicken that has been thawed.
