Café Olé by H-E-B Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate Black
What it is
This is a highly concentrated form of coffee, brewed using a cold water extraction process over an extended period. This method results in a smoother, less acidic coffee flavor compared to traditional hot brewing. The concentrate is ready to be diluted with water or milk, offering a convenient way to enjoy cold brew coffee at home without the lengthy brewing time. It is a pure, unadulterated coffee flavor, ready for your personal touch.
How people cook with it
This concentrate is designed for quick and easy preparation of iced coffee beverages. It can be customized to your preferred strength and flavor profile.
- Dilute for iced coffee
- Mix into milkshakes
- Add to cocktails
- Use in baking
To prepare a serving of iced coffee, combine one part cold brew concentrate with one to two parts water or milk. Stir well and pour over ice. You can adjust the ratio to achieve your desired coffee strength. For a richer flavor, use less water or milk. This concentrate can also be a base for coffee-flavored smoothies, used in homemade ice cream, or added to dessert recipes for a deep coffee essence. Experiment with different dairy or non-dairy milks for varied taste experiences.
How it differs from similar foods
Unlike regular brewed coffee, this cold brew concentrate is significantly less bitter and acidic due to the cold water brewing process. It is also much more potent, requiring dilution, whereas regular coffee is typically consumed as is. This concentrate offers a smoother mouthfeel and a naturally sweeter taste profile without added sugars.
