What it is
This is a rich and creamy spread made with roasted peanuts and cocoa. It offers a decadent chocolate flavor combined with the satisfying taste of peanut butter. It is formulated without any animal-derived ingredients, making it suitable for those following a vegan diet. The smooth texture makes it easy to spread and incorporate into various dishes. Its primary components are peanuts and cocoa, blended to create a harmonious taste experience.
How people cook with it
This spread is a versatile addition to many meals and snacks. It can be enjoyed straight from the jar or used as a key ingredient in sweet and savory creations.
- Spread on toast
- Dipped with fruit
- Swirled into oatmeal
- Used in baking
Begin by stirring the spread if any oil separation has occurred, which is natural for products with a high nut content. It can be spread generously on bread, crackers, or rice cakes for a quick and satisfying snack. For a more involved use, it can be incorporated into smoothies for added richness and flavor, or used as a filling for cookies and pastries. It also works well as a base for homemade candies or as a topping for pancakes and waffles. Its smooth consistency allows it to blend easily into batters and doughs.
How it differs from similar foods
Unlike traditional peanut butter, this spread incorporates chocolate, offering a dual flavor profile. Its vegan formulation means it does not contain dairy or other animal products that might be present in some conventional spreads. The specific ratio of peanut to cocoa creates a distinct taste that sets it apart from single-flavor spreads.

How to keep the rest
To maintain its best quality, store the unopened jar in a cool, dry place. Once opened, keep it refrigerated to preserve freshness and prevent spoilage. Ensure the lid is tightly sealed after each use to prevent the spread from drying out or absorbing unwanted odors from the refrigerator.
