- Introducing board games
To play Candy Land, each player chooses a colored gingerbread pawn and places it at the start. Players take turns drawing a card from the deck. If the card shows a colored square, the player moves their pawn to the next space of that color on the board. If the card shows a picture of a character, the player moves their pawn directly to that character's space. Some cards might send players forward or backward. The first player to reach the final space, the Candy Castle, wins the game. The game is designed to be played without reading or counting.
How it differs from similar foods
Unlike many other board games that involve strategy or complex rules, Candy Land is entirely based on luck and color matching. It does not require any reading or counting skills, making it unique for very young children. The game's path is fixed, and player movement is determined solely by the cards drawn.
Who it is for
This game is enjoyed by young children and their families looking for a simple and engaging play experience.
How to keep the rest
Store the game components, including the board, cards, and pawns, in the original box. Keep the box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the condition of the game pieces. Ensure all pieces are returned to the box after play to prevent loss.
