What it is
H-E-B Blendables are a convenient way to add flavor and texture to your cooking. They are pre-chopped and seasoned vegetables, often including onions, peppers, and celery. This mix is designed to save you time in the kitchen by eliminating the need for manual chopping and dicing. They are typically found in the refrigerated section of the grocery store, ready to be incorporated into your favorite dishes. The seasoning is mild, allowing it to complement a wide range of recipes without overpowering other ingredients.
How people cook with it

To use H-E-B Blendables, simply open the package and add them directly to your pan when you begin cooking. They can be sautéed in a little oil or butter until softened, releasing their aromas and flavors. You can then add your main ingredients and continue with your recipe. They work well in dishes where you want a consistent texture and a foundational vegetable flavor. For soups and stews, add them early in the cooking process to allow them to meld with the broth and other ingredients.
How it differs from similar foods
Unlike fresh, whole vegetables, Blendables are already prepped, saving significant time on washing and chopping. They offer a consistent cut and seasoning profile, which can be beneficial for achieving predictable results in recipes. The seasoning is a key differentiator, providing an immediate flavor boost.
