Kraft
Kraft Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing
What it is
This is a ready-to-use salad dressing made with balsamic vinegar and oil. It offers a tangy and slightly sweet flavor profile that complements a variety of greens and vegetables. The dressing is emulsified, meaning the oil and vinegar are blended together to create a smooth, consistent texture. It is designed for convenience, providing a quick way to dress salads without needing to mix ingredients from scratch. The formulation aims for a balanced taste that is neither too sharp nor too mild.
How people cook with it
This dressing is a versatile addition to any kitchen, perfect for elevating simple salads or adding a flavorful finish to other dishes.
- Dressing for green salads
- Marinade for chicken or pork
- Drizzled over roasted vegetables
- Dip for bread
To use, simply shake the bottle well to ensure the ingredients are fully combined. Pour the desired amount over your favorite salad greens, such as romaine lettuce, spinach, or mixed greens. It can also be used as a marinade for meats like chicken or pork before grilling or baking, adding a zesty flavor. For an extra touch of taste, drizzle it over roasted vegetables like broccoli, asparagus, or potatoes. It can even serve as a flavorful dip for crusty bread.
How it differs from similar foods
Compared to other vinaigrettes, this balsamic version typically has a deeper, more complex flavor due to the aged balsamic vinegar. It often has a slightly thicker consistency than a simple oil and vinegar mix, and its sweetness is more pronounced, balancing the acidity of the vinegar effectively.
